Kinky Terminology Every Fan of BDSM Should Know! (A-F)

Out of the many sex variations existing today, it seems as though BDSM grew in popularity the most. BDSM is a new, innovative and more edgy way to approach all your dirty, secret fantasies. BDSM is a wide field of options, and for those who enjoy its marvels, a little vocabulary lesson is a must.

But just knowing that ‘BDSM’ stands for bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism, won’t do. To make sure you are on the right track of all your BDSM fun, here is a short A-Z glossary to guide to Kinky Terminology.

Kinky Terminology: A, as in Aftercare!

Aftercare refers to the practice of making sure you’re both good after having your kinky fun. BDSM can get rather intense at times, so taking care of your partner afterward and vice versa is suggested. Far from the physical, Aftercare also refers to the emotional side as well.

B, as in Bondage!

Bondage is one of the principal parts of BDSM and involves all sorts of ties, binds and other bondage accessories. Restraints can take many shapes and forms, so feel free to use anything from ropes and handcuffs, to Velcro, plastic wrapping ties, clasps, belts and more!

Kinky Terminology: C, as in Cuckold!

By definition, cuck is a man who enjoys being dominated by his partner during sex. Aside from domination, the cuckold can also refer to humiliation, or watching your partner have sex with someone else. In a situation where the main man is the cuckold, the invited man is referred to as the bull, whereas the woman is called ‘cuck queen’.

D, as in D/S!

In BDSM, D/S stands for dominance/submission, which is the foundation of every sexual BDSM relationship. The goal of playing the role of a submissive or a dominant partner is to reach erotic sexual dominance, while not taking the pleasure out of your deeds. And no, a dominant partner can just as easily turn to submissive, so allows yourself to switch your sexual power roles.

Kinky Terminology: E, as in Edgeplay!

Okay, this is where things get more intriguing. Edgeplay is a sexual activity that involves all taboo scenarios. Don’t be surprised to find that edgeplay is far more versatile than you might have thought. From knife play (safe and superficial) to slight asphyxiation, this BDSM aspect is not for fainthearted couples.

F, as in Frotagge

Not necessarily a strict BDSM concept, many men find frotagge intriguingly appealing. Frottage is an action that typically involves a second man in your bed (hello, threesome!) and puts the woman in a dominant position. While frottage is not a sex-exclusive action, it revolves around the woman rubbing two penises together, to the brink of orgasm. A great fetish to explore without having to go the extra mile, frottage is intended for men in tune with their feminine and masculine side.
